To celebrate the one year anniversary of the publication of my book The Wines and Foods of Piemonte, I am offering a 10% discount for the remainder of July.
Before I give you the details, a few notes about the book. It is divided into two main sections; the first, my overview of the region’s wines, with the second being a series of one-on-one interviews of some of the region’s best winemakers and chefs. There are separate chapters on Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto, white wines (including Timorasso and Favorita), sparkling wines and just about every type of wine produced in Piemonte.
As for the interviews, there are conversations with producers such as Roberto Voerzio, Pietro Ratti (Renato Ratti), Raffaella Bologna (Braida), Luca Currado (Vietti) and several more. As for the chefs, there are interviews with Luca Fassone (L’Angolo di Rosina in Novello), Manuel Bouchard (Antiné in Barbaresco) and Enrico Crippa, chef at Piazza Duomo, the celebrated 3-star Michelin in Alba.
The book also contains an appendix on more than 200 recommended wines from Piemonte, as well as a thorough list of some of the best restaurants in the region, arranged by province.
Tom Maresca, a colleague, who is the dean of American wine writers covering Italian wines, had this to say about my book:
“It covers just about everything a wine lover could want to know about this blessed region.”
And here is a link to the wonderful review of my book by Suzanne Hoffman, author of Labor of Love: Wine Family Women of Piemonte.
