The Tre Bicchieri tastings return next week in the United States! These trade-only tastings are presented by Gambero Rosso, the Italian wine bible, with their top-rated wines of the year (Tre bicchieri – “three glasses”) being tasted at events in Chicago, New York City and San Francisco.
The first tasting will be held in Chicago on Tuesday, February 7; then New York City on February 9, followed by Los Angeles on Monday, February 13 and finally San Francisco on Wednesday, February 15. Information on these tastings can be found here.)
What is great about these tastings is that there is a wide variety of the finest Italian wines that are available for tasting. Of course, Barolo, Brunello and Amarone will be represented, but you will also be able to sample whites such as Vermentino from Liguria and Falanghina from Campania, along with reds such as Nero d’Avola from Sicily as well as reds made from Nero di Troia (Puglia) and Sagrantino (Umbria); doznes of other reds and whites, as well as a few first-rate sparkling wines (Franciacorta, Trento DOC and Prosecco).
Here is a link to the list of producers whose wine will be poured at the Chicago event.
