Daniele:

Certainly 2007 has been a success in other districts in Toscana, such as Montepulciano, Bolgheri and Chianti Classico. I would think that 2007 would also be quite notable for Brunello, though I haven't tried any yet.

I have tasted some 2008s from barrel and have been very pleased. Beautiful structure and acidity. The wines are quite approachable and are certainly not as powerful as in some years. I hope that the wines will still offer good freshness in two years when they are released.

As for 2009, the wines will no doubt be ripe, based on other Tuscan reds. But I can't say much more than that. 2009 could shape up to be an excellent vintage.

Tom, do you have any insights on the to-be-released vintages (2007-2008-2009)? Thanks!
