thank you both for the advice on vino nobile di montepulciano. had the pleasure of visiting montepulciano and montalcino and the general toscano region. great memories of the area, the food, people, wine and culture. stayed in siena and toured the area with family.

Try Cantine innocenti, hard to find in US, but worth the a try. Probably around 30 per bottle, a great price for a terrific wine.

There are a few that are nationally imported, including Fattoria del Cerro and Ruffino “Lodola Nuova.” Prices vary according to state taxes and other factors, but I would think these wines would cost between $22-28 per bottle.
